Sean and Whittney met on February 17, 2016 . They originally started their courtship on Match.com. She lived in NC at the time but was visiting her mom in California when they began messaging back and forth. She had lived in California in the past , visited often, and always wanted to come back. They visited one another over the course of a year until she relocated permanently and they've been together ever since. He proposed on the beach on November 11, 2018.

Sean Jarne and Whittney are tying the knot on the sand at the beautiful Beachcomber Café at Crystal Cove. The ceremony will be held in front of the quaint cottage from the movie “Beaches”. Whittney loved the movie when she was a little girl-and watched it repeatedly. Never in her wildest dreams did she think she’d get married in front of the cottage and on the beach she found so majestic on screen.

The reception will be catered by Beachcomber Cafe. All of the food is "California Style". We will be having a Pre wedding cocktail hour that will continue post ceremony, Hors d' Ouvers, a 3 course meal with your choice of steak or salmon and a full bar. The reception will be held on a deck overlooking the ocean. It can get chilly at night so heaters and blankets will be available to ensure everyone's comfort but bring a jacket.

Arrival time is 3:00pm on Friday, November 1st. We will have a pre wedding cocktail hour prior to the ceremony. Uber or Taxi is strongly encouraged. If you drive you will have to park across the street and wait for our private shuttle which will bring you down the hill to the beach. There is a $15 parking fee. After the ceremony we will move to the cultural deck which is about a 5 minute walk from the cottage. It is up numerous stairs so wear comfy shoes. For those who prefer not to walk or have on super fabulous high heels- the shuttle will also be taking people up to the deck.

We will be staying at Pelican Hill Resort directly across from the hotel for the weekend. In addition to Pelican Hill the Newport Beach Marriott Hyatt Regency , Fashion Island Hotel, and Pacific Edge Hotel are nearby. Looking for something else? View the closest hotels in the area.
